Riverfront Plaza & Bulkhead Rehabilitation
A failing bulkhead, a long-awaited public plaza, and tides that set the pace for both.
LocationJacksonville, FLCivic projects belong to the public, and the public notices when a date slips. Elected officials, donors and residents deserve a schedule that tells them the truth early.
A city set out to replace a failing river bulkhead and build a public plaza on top of it, something residents had been asking for over many years.
Marine work was governed by tides, permits and environmental windows, and the plaza could not start until the wall was finished. Losing a single in-water season would have pushed opening back by most of a year.
The whole program, on one line.
Start to finish, as the schedule tells it. For work still in progress, the bar moves with today's data date.
Our approach, phase by phase.
The same disciplined sequence we bring to every engagement, shaped around what this project needed most.

The difference we made
Measured the only way that matters: whether the date and the budget held.
Marine work finished inside its permitted windows, with no season lost.
The plaza opened on the date the city had planned its celebration around.
Resident-facing progress updates were drawn directly from the current schedule rather than written separately.
What we brought to it
Critical Path Method schedules engineered so that every date has a reason, every float value means something and every forecast can be trusted in a boardroom.
2.01.11Milestone PlanningMilestone frameworks that align contracts, payments, regulators and teams around the few dates that truly count, with early warning when any of them is at risk.
2.01.06Schedule UpdatesDisciplined periodic updates that capture verified progress, explain every movement and keep the schedule an instrument of command rather than a record of hope.
