Scope statement

Secure the time that is due, and resist the time that is not.

EOT provisions decide whether a contractor is relieved of delay liability and whether an owner can recover liquidated damages. The procedural requirements are often unforgiving: a missed notice or thin substantiation can forfeit entitlement that was otherwise sound, and a loosely granted extension can quietly erase an owner's protection.

We help contractors build EOT claims that meet each notice and particularization requirement and demonstrate cause and effect convincingly. We help owners and contract administrators assess claims rigorously and fairly, with a reasoned determination they can stand behind. In both roles we pair forensic scheduling with close reading of the contract, working alongside your legal advisors.

RFI log · questions answered

What leaders ask us first.

Straight answers. If yours isn't logged here, raise it with us directly. A principal will respond.

What if notices were missed?

The consequence depends on the contract and governing law, and it should be assessed with counsel. Our role is to establish the technical facts and, going forward, to put notice discipline in place so it does not happen again.

Which contract forms do you work under?

AIA, ConsensusDocs, FIDIC, NEC and bespoke owner forms, always alongside the client's legal advisors.

Does an extension of time include money?

Not automatically. An EOT relieves delay liability. Recovery of prolongation or disruption cost generally rests on a separate entitlement under the contract, which we can analyze as part of claims support.
