Two years that shape a career.
You have the degree. The Fellowship gives you the craft: two years rotating across our practices, a mentor beside you throughout, and client work from your first month. You leave able to read a critical path, defend a forecast and hold your own in a boardroom.
How to applyMost planners learn the craft by accident. Fellows learn it by design.
Project controls is among the most valuable disciplines in capital delivery, and among the least taught. Few degrees cover it in depth, so most practitioners assemble it piece by piece, often from colleagues who learned it the same way.
The Barkley Fellowship takes a different route. Over two years you rotate through the core of the firm, build expert command of Primavera P6 through the Barkley Institute, prepare for professional credentials and contribute to client deliverables from the first month.
You have a dedicated mentor throughout, a cohort of peers to learn beside and regular time with firm principals. The Fellowship closes with a capstone presented to those principals, and a full role on a live program.
Two years, baselined like a program.
Naturally, we schedule it. Every Fellow receives this plan on the first day, with milestones, reviews and a defined finish.
Choose your specialism.
By your final rotation you will know where your judgement is sharpest. Go deep in one of three directions.

Forensic Delay & Claims
Delay analysis, time impact analysis and support for expert reports. Learn to reconstruct what really happened, and prove it.

Owner's Advisory & Assurance
Independent schedule reviews, project assurance and readiness assessments, working on the owner's side of the table.

Controls Intelligence
Power BI dashboards, executive scorecards and predictive analytics that bring the data date to decision-makers sooner.
Everything you need to become exceptional.
A dedicated mentor
A senior practitioner who meets with you regularly for the full two years.
A credential path
Expert P6 through the Institute and preparation toward PMI-SP or AACE PSP.
Real deliverables
Your work reaches clients early, reviewed and coached by senior colleagues.
A cohort
Peers who learn beside you and become your network for a career.
Curious, exact and willing to ask.
We care more about how you think than what you already know. If you enjoy logic puzzles, notice what others miss and can explain something complex simply, you will do well here.

Questions graduates ask us.
Do I need to know Primavera P6 already?
No. The foundation phase teaches P6 from first principles. Many Fellows arrive with little or no scheduling experience, and that is expected.
Is the Fellowship a full-time role?
Yes. Fellows are full members of the firm from the first day. Compensation and benefits are set out in full with every offer.
What happens after two years?
You step into a scheduler, controls or analyst role in your chosen practice, with a clear next milestone and your mentor still in your corner.
Will I travel or work on site?
Some rotations include time on project sites, which is one of the best ways to learn. Site time is planned with you in advance.
